Chapter 7Drying Salted Fish by Cheong Soo Pieng
Cheong Soo Pieng was a pioneer of Nanyang art. In this painting, Cheong captured a local scene by combining the Chinese ink painting technique of gongbi (meticulous style) on silk with the easel format of Western painting.
